John Arkoosh
Brian Angers is currently a senior at Boise State University earning his BFA degree with an emphasis in Photography, graduating this coming May. He is a photographer from Los Angeles, where he has called home his entire life until choosing to attend Boise State, for he wanted to experience a life outside of Los Angeles for his higher education. He currently holds a position at Boise State Photo Services as a Student Photographer, documenting all school activities including sports, student activities, and classroom discussions. His personal work includes many different fields of photography including portraits, landscapes, weddings, concerts, sports, and real estate. He chooses color photography to capture the true beauty that this world has to offer. Brian chose to venture into printmaking to understand and expand his understanding of other arts, and has always had an appreciation for printmaking, especially for screenprinting. Being a part of the RMPA symposium for this semester, his current positions for the show includes designer and photographer.
Ameerah Bader is currently attending Boise State University with the hopes of gaining a BFA in Illustration. She is apart of the Marketing team and Production crew for RMPA. While not sleeping or at school her pastimes include writing sappy poetry, exploring music and conversation as an art form, and sitting in Ann Morrison Park sketching the squirrels.
Alexandra C. Berry was born in Anaheim, California a little over two decades ago. Although a California Native, she has spent the majority of her life in rural Idaho. Growing up in a remote area has contributed greatly towards Berry’s themes of wildlife and isolation. Berry works in many different styles such as printmaking, photography, and illustration. Artists who have influenced Berry’s work are Norma Tapscott with her contemporary oil paintings and her figurative, bronze sculptures. Another artist who contributes inspiration to Berry is Samuel Larson with his iconic, western illustrations. Berry’s work has been exhibited in a national exhibition, Icons of the West at Dana Gallery in Missoula, Montana. Berry is completing her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Illustration at Boise State University in Boise, Idaho, where she currently resides. Berry is also a part of the production and design crew for RMPA.
Theresa Burkes graduated with a degree in mathematics from San Jose State University and worked for 23 years as a software engineer for IBM and Hewlett-Packard. After retiring from HP, she enrolled in the BFA program at Boise State University and is currently a senior in that program with a Drawing and Painting emphasis. Boise State’s program introduced her to printmaking and she has continued practicing in that medium using non-toxic Akua inks. Her other passion is encaustic mixed-media with recent experimentation using alcohol inks and stencils on encaustic backgrounds. Her work has been juried into exhibitions in Boise and the surrounding area, McCall, Idaho, and Idaho Falls. Her work is featured in the American Art Collector 2016. She currently serves on the boards of the Treasure Valley Artists’ Alliance, the Boise Open Studios Collective and the McCall Arts and Humanities Council. Jennifer Clements is a senior at Boise State University pursuing a BFA in Visual Arts. She has always enjoyed creating art, and has taken the opportunity in her midlife (crisis) to go back to school to enhance her abilities. Without a real prior knowledge of printmaking before last year, it has quickly become one of her favorite forms of fine art due to its ability to uniquely combine the methods of painting and drawing. Currently she is part of the library exhibition team for the RMPA Symposium.

Tyler Dougal is a junior at Boise State University working on his BFA in photography and printmaking. Tyler is a part of many portions of the Rocky Mountain Printmaking Alliance Symposium including: the installation crew, the library exhibition crew, the trunk show crew, demo assistant, and the photography team. When Tyler isn’t studying for exams or typing up papers he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend Krista and their 3-month-old son Greyson. Some of their favorite activities include watching movies, playing Magic the Gathering, and disc golf. Tyler is currently working on 2 photo series; one depicts the banal objects and places he experiences throughout his life, the other series is of his son, Greyson. Tyler will graduate at the end of the Spring 2017 semester.

Aurora Galloway is a 2015 BFA graduate from Boise State University with an emphasis in Printmaking. Auroras work is fueled by her experience growing up in rural Alaska and her admiration for sustainable lifestyles and environmental responsibility. She is often found working in her backyard studio in Boise, Idaho where she lives with her handsome husband and her goofy cat.
Laura Goodwin is a local Boise artist with an interdisciplinary practice ranging from printmaking to video. She holds a Bachelor of Art in Studio Art from Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon. Laura is currently in her second year of Boise State’s Master of Fine Art program. She looks forward to RMPA, and is apart of the exhibition and artist demonstration teams.
Aryssa Hutchins is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in
Illustration from Boise State University. Her work is currently on display at INSIGHT: 2016 Annual Student Juried Exhibition at Boise State's Visual Arts Center. She is responsible for planning

Andie Kelly was born and raised in Woodinville, Washington. Growing up close to the forest meant weekly hiking and camping trips, which really helped with her love of nature. She enjoys to read, doodle and paint, and is heavily inspired by hand drawn lettering and typography.
Andie is currently pursuing double majors in Printmaking and Graphic Design at Boise State University in Boise, Idaho. She has recently fallen in love with screen-printing because of the drawing and painting combined with the graphic elements of the process. Her most recent work illustrates her exploration of her connections to the earth, spirituality, and her sexuality through the silkscreen process. Her work also explores the overlapping of graphic design aesthetics using methods of fine art through etching, silkscreen, and reduction linocut. Also a part of the Design and Production team, Andie is also participating in the portfolio exchange by designing and screen-printing the colophon.
Nicholas Lee is currently attending Boise State University in where he is majoring in Art Education with an emphasis that is yet decided. Involving himself in both the design and production team for the RMPA Symposium. Born in Boise, ID but raised in Nevada for most of his life. When not attending school he spends most his time with his wife, Stephanie, and two year old son, Kingston. If time allows for it he will occasionally get out for a bicycle ride to clear his mind. In his first calendar year as a printmaker, he is still learning the ropes, exploring new methods, and loving almost every moment.
Mary Levinson was born in Fremont, California, but has spent most of her life in Boise, Idaho, where she is pursuing a BFA in Illustration from Boise State University. She was recently introduced to printmaking and enjoys the hands-on processes that it offers. She especially enjoys screen printing and relief carving, which is why she's a part of the production team for RMPA. When not at school, Mary enjoys watching cartoons, playing video games, and working on her own graphic novel.
Julie McCreedy is an original member of the 2011 inaugural symposium of the Rocky Mountain Printmaking Alliance (RMPA). She completed her Undergraduate Visual Fine Arts degree at Boise State University (BSU) with a minor in Art History and emphases in Drawing & Painting and Printmaking in 2012. Julie is the Lab Technician for the Art Department's Printmaking Program at BSU and a key member of this year’s RMPA 3rd Biennial Symposium's planning committee. Julie currently resides in Boise, but also considers Oregon and California her home as well. She is happily married with the love of her life, they have four incredible children, two happy dogs and a loyal cat. Recently "empty nesters," they continue to enjoy the outdoors, travel, cooking, gardening and the ever persistent house project, which is like date night for us.
Corinne Osmanski is originally from a suburb of Chicago. She was introduced to art in her last 3 semesters of high school and instantly found a connection with the enchanting world of art; specifically, to design, painting, and ceramics. Shortly after discovering this she moved to Boise, Idaho. She is currently in her third year pursuing an BFA in Graphic Design with a Visual Art Minor. She in on the RMPA Birds Eye team. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors, playing with her cats, and being active.
Kailee Poetsch was born and raised in Klamath Falls, OR. Growing up in the woods was a huge part of her life and love for nature and animals. Kailee enjoys spending time outside with her pups and boyfriend. She is still seeking her undergrad at Boise State University in Graphic Design and Printmaking. Her work consists of love and worries for the natural environment, and issues that need to be exposed through her love for art. She is also the vice president of the printmaking club Red Circle Press as well as an art ambassador and head of the design team for RMPA symposium.
Erika Sather-Smith was raised by a couple of progressives in the Deep South, and has lived in Boise for 12 years. She graduated from Boise State University twice, first with a degree in Welding and Metals Fabrication and second with a BFA in Printmaking. What she's learned in her mere 32 years of existence, is we're all our own, and we should always spread the love. Cause it'll come back to ya. Promise.
William Smith. Who goes by the name Billy is a senior at Boise State University. Majoring in Visual Art, but primarily can do any art that he can put his hands on. He is creative and always wants to think outside the box and do bigger and better things when it comes to projects. He likes new and challenging things when it comes to art. During his free time, he loves to watch movies, listen to music and read a good book. Printmaking wasn’t his favorite thing to do at first, but it grew on him and he fell in love with it because all the challenges that came his way.
Amethyst Tagney is an illustrator based in Meridian, Idaho. Currently, she is a student at Boise State University and on her way to getting a BFA in Illustration. She considers herself as a lifelong artist (she has been drawing since she was very young) with an emphasis towards cartoons. Amethyst's artwork tends to lean towards the more bizarre than everyday. She likes taking normal situations and flipping them on their heads by inserting different things you would not necessarily assume would be there, such as Bigfoot getting a pedicure at a nail salon. Her pieces are lighthearted in nature and usually have a humorous underlying theme. Amethyst has recently become more interested in printmaking and enjoys the graphic quality it brings to her art. She is also a member of the design team for the RMPA symposium.
My name is Sydney Tapia and I am a student at BSU going for my BFA in illustration. I've been interested in art for as long as I can remember. My emphasis is mostly in drawing,
however recently I've been working with ceramics and oil paints.
I have little experience in printmaking, but I jumped at the opportunity to be a part of RMPA. I will be graduating in a year and I am very excited to use this experience as a tool to learn how
to network, as well as meet professional artists from around the region. I'm looking forward to this great opportunity!
Alexandra Velardes was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. She is heavily involved with the Bird's Eye Crew for the Watershed Symposium. Alex is preparing to graduate from Boise State University with a BFA in Visual Arts this spring. Her focus is mainly painting and printmaking but, she enjoys film photography as well. In her limited spare time she spends it with her husband and four children. Her hobbies include reading, snowboarding, and Netflix.

Jill AnnieMargaret is an artist based in Boise, Idaho. She founded the Rocky Mountain Printmaking Alliance in 2009 to help strengthen the printmaking community in the mountain states. Weaving a collection of women’s stories and hair, her current work creates a forensic and cultural record that aims to facilitate healing, inspire courage and end human rights abuses against women globally. Her work has been exhibited in Argentina, Japan, Italy, Finland, Portugal, India, South Korea and many locations across the United States. An Associate Professor of Art at Boise State University, she has directed the Printmaking program there since 2005. Jill changed her legal name in January 2015 from Jill Ingram Fitterer to Jill AnnieMargaret. Her new name honors four generations of women on the maternal side of her family.
